Bad to the bite.

The word, malocclusion, means "bad bite". Malocclusions are categorized as Class I (back teeth and jaws meet properly), Class II (upper too far forward or lower too far back), Class III (upper too far back or lower too far forward).

Teeth may be crooked, crowded, or tipped. Teeth may be out of position or impacted (prevented from erupting). You may have a crossbite (top teeth inside bottom teeth), or there may be a midline deviation. You may have an excessive horizontal or vertical overbite.

All these problems are correctible with orthodontic treatment. At your initial evaluation, Dr. Malerman will be able to give you an indication as to your problems, and how they can be fixed.
